Hours:  Part-time position requiring 15-20 hours per week.  Must be able to work evenings/weekends.
Hourly Rate:  Starts at $13.50 per hour 

About The House of Pickleball

The “self proclaimed” Pickleball Capital, Leland’s House of Pickleball offers 12 indoor courts, plus certified instructors, open play, training and league play.  It is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday through Sunday.

Position Summary: 

  • Responsible for managing the reception desk at The House of Pickleball through utilizing excellent customer service skills to assist existing members and newcomers.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greets all incoming customers and determines their immediate needs

  • Uses Court Reserve software to assist members with check in, making payments, managing courts and creating/changing memberships

  • Explains all Pickleball programs, services, and equipment to members and assists them with determining their individual needs

  • Responsible for the opening and/or closing procedures of the facility as directed.

  • Sells items for our Pro Shop

  • Retrieves and distributes all voice mails left with front reception.

  • Performs cleaning duties daily to keep the courts, lobby and restrooms clean.

  • Operates cash drawer and balance drawer at the end of each shift.

  • Helps to set up and break down for events, being present during events for additional work as needed.

  • Must be able to work weekends/holidays and evenings as required.

  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interact and work positively and effectively with customers and staff.

  • Ability to multitask while staying focused and detail oriented.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to proficiently utilize computer programs and database systems, including Court Reserve, Microsoft Office, internet and Google Drive.

  • Must be familiar with pickleball and play the sport at some level.
