Front Desk / Guest Services Team Member
Schedule
Part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week. Applicants must have some availability for evenings and weekends.
Pay
Starting at $14.00/hour — potentially more if you’re really awesome!

Position Summary
Our Front Desk Team Members are often the first people our guests meet when they walk into the House of Pickleball. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You’ll help create a welcoming experience for our members and guests while assisting with check-ins, court reservations, memberships, programs, Pro Shop purchases, and the day-to-day operation of the facility.
What You’ll Do
- Greet members and guests and quickly determine how you can help.
- Check players in and assist with payments, court reservations, memberships, and account changes.
- Explain HOP programs, open play, training, leagues, memberships, and other services.
- Help guests determine which programs or membership options best fit their needs.
- Assist with opening and/or closing procedures as scheduled.
- Sell merchandise and other items from the HOP Pro Shop using our point-of-sale system.
- Answer phones and respond to voicemail messages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk, lobby, and restroom area.
- Operate and balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Assist with other facility duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- A “Hospitality First” mindset — this is a must!
- Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
- Dependable and able to work independently.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Comfortable learning and using computer software, online systems, and point-of-sale programs.
- Experience with CourtReserve, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar software is helpful but not required.
- Some knowledge of pickleball is preferred — and playing the sport is even better!
- Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
About the House of Pickleball
The House of Pickleball is Leland’s home for indoor pickleball and the self-proclaimed Pickleball Capital of North Carolina!
HOP features 12 indoor courts, a Pro Shop, the Drop Zone bar, certified instructors, open play, leagues, clinics, lessons, and training programs for players of all skill levels.
We’re open seven days a week and pride ourselves on providing a fun, welcoming, customer-focused environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $13/hr +tips (more if your awesome)

About The HOP
The self proclaimed pickleball capital of NC, Leland’s House of Pickleball offers 12 indoor courts, plus certified instructors, open play, training and league play and is open from 8am to 9pm, Monday – Sunday.
Position Responsibilities:
- Greet customers: Welcome all customers in a friendly manner.

Prepare food and drinks: Prepare coffee, serve beverages and light snacks.

Collect payment: Use a point of sale system to collect money for food and drinks.

Maintain food safety: Follow food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.

Inventory supplies: Check the number of supplies on hand at the end of each shift.

Cleaning: Clean concession stand and surrounding seating area with OCD style cleaning.

Availability: Helps to set up and break down for events, being present during events for additional work as needed.

Work: Must be able to work some weekends/holidays and evenings as required.

Extra: Performs other related duties as directed by the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Custodian – House of Pickleball (Leland, NC)
Position: Part-Time Custodian
Location: House of Pickleball, Leland, NC
Hours: 15-20 hours per week (After 8:00 PM or before 6:00 AM – 2-3 days a week)
Pay: $16 per hour, paid twice monthly
Job Summary:
The House of Pickleball (HOP) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our facility. This role is essential in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
Sweep, mop, and vacuum all facility floors, including pickleball courts using HOP equipment
Dust and wipe down surfaces, walls, vents, and other high-touch areas
Empty trash and restock supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, and toilet paper
Maintain and organize storage areas for cleaning supplies
Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (experience as a handyperson is a plus!)
Ensure all cleaning is completed efficiently during designated hours
Qualifications:
Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred
Ability to use vacuums, mops, and other cleaning equipment safely
Comfortable working independently and adhering to a cleaning schedule
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs as needed
